The level 3 aviation review can now be found in the “Aviation PC” tab under Resources on our website!

The winter break might be a good time to review the information for those that still have to complete the PC this year.

Level 4s watch out after the break for one to be added for you.

Weekly Events 12-18 Dec

Monday, December 12th 

  • Band 1800-2000 (Morfee) – last practice before the holiday break
  • Drill team 2000-2100 (Morfee) – last practice before the holiday break
  • Flag Party 1800-1900 (Morfee) – last practice before the holiday break
  • Flying Scholarship 1800-2100 (Birchall) – last practice will be 19 Dec 2016

Wednesday, December 14th  

  • Annual Christmas Potluck!
  • We are asking that cadets bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the food bank.
  • Dress: Appropriate semi-formal attire
  • Location: Kingston Legion (1472 Veterans Ln, Kingston, NS)
  • Timings: 1830 for 1900 until 2115
  • Cadets are assigned items to bring to the potluck dinner to ensure we have a variety, these assignments are as follows:
    • Level 1 – Salads
    • Level 2 – Sides
    • Level 3 – Veggie/Fruit Tray
    • Level 4 – Appetizers
    • Level 5 – Beverages
    • WO’s – Rolls
    • Staff will be providing turkey, gravy and deserts.
    • Note: please ensure you do not bring anything containing nuts or seafood as we have some members with these food allergies. In addition, please label anything that may contain carrots or kiwis.

Thursday, December 15th   

  • There will be NO Biathlon practice until the new year! Enjoy your Christmas break!
  • We are extremely proud of the hard earned successes of our biathlon team this year! We are excited to announce further congratulations to our Biathletes, Sgt. Ouellet, A. and LAC Ouellet, D who will be competing in the NS Provincial Biathlon Competition this coming January 2017!

  • 1815 – 2115  at the Morfee Center
  • Cadets are to wear C-1 dress (Link for orders of dress). If you do not have a uniform we encourage cadets to wear black pants and a white collared shirt.
  • Parents are welcome to attend as CO’s Parades are when we do promotions and other significant announcements or awards.
  • After CO’s Parade we will be practicing drill.
  • Medal Applications are due!

January 9th – Flying Scholarship Review and Practice Exam

January 14th – National Flying Scholarship Exam

The squadron will be stood down for the holidays from 15 December 2016 to 02 January 2017, with the exception of a few practices. We would like to wish everyone a Wonderful and Safe Holiday and Happy New Year!

  •  Sports Night! (Morfee)
    • 1815 – 2115
    • Only Warrant Officers should be arriving prior to 1815.
    • Please wear appropriate sports gear and footwear.

Thursday, December 8th   

  • Biathlon practice 1800-2000 (Birchall)
    • Open to all cadets, regardless of age, fitness or experience level
    • You do not have to compete to come train with us!
  • Level 3/4 make up training 1800-2000 at Birchall

Friday, December 9th – Sunday, December 11th 

  • Greenwood Music Workshop
  • Dress: Appropriate Civilian attire
  • Location: Greenwood summer training center
  • Timings: Cadet can be dropped off at 2000 on Friday 09 December and pick up will be at 1530 on Sunday 11 December
  • There will be a dance on Saturday 10 Dec.

  • Meals will be provided on 10-11 Dec at Greenwood Meal Hall

  • Cadets are required to bring the following kit:

    a. Their Instrument (including lyre and flip folder)
    b. Clothing for the duration of the event including suitable clothing for the dance.
    c. Toiletries (including towel and facecloth)
    d. Medication if required
    e. Water Bottle
    f. Lock for locker
    g. Linens will be provided
