First Aid Training Update

We have finalized the list of names for our first aid training this weekend. Please keep in mind that the priority for this weekend was to make sure our staff stay current for our upcoming overnight activities only leaving 8 spots for cadets. We had 22 cadets sign up and had to narrow things down based on whether they already had first aid, how involved they have been with our teams as well as optional parades in the community, whether they assisted with the legions poppy campaign and overall attendance.

The list is as follows:

  1. FCpl Frittenburg
  2. FCpl Galway
  3. FCpl Crowell
  4. FCpl Hughes
  5. FCpl Hutchinson
  6. Cpl Shaw-White
  7. AC Vehar
  8. AC Keddy

The course will be run on the 18th-19th starting at 8am till 3:30pm both days. Cadets are expected to bring their own lunch.  If for whatever reason your cadet is unable to attend, it is important to message us immediately. The squadron is funding a portion of this course and with so many cadets interested it would be disappointing to waste a spot.

We are currently working on another course with just cadets at the end of April.

Weekly Events 13-19 Mar

Upcoming Events:
April 3 – No optional trg (Band, Drill, Flag Party)
April 7-9 – Aurora Cup
April 30 – Camp Selections will be announced
May 5-7 – Tac Eval
June 3 – Annual Ceremonial Review

League Tickets Due!

If you have not handed in your sold tickets and money and/or unsold tickets as of yet, please drop off tomorrow March 9th between 1800-2000 during biathlon practice. This will be the final chance to hand everything in.

Thank you and we appreciate all the effort and support that went in to selling these tickets!

Upcoming Weather

With the prediction of freezing rain early tomorrow morning there’s a possibility the schools will be closed. It does seem however that things will switch to rain allowing for clear roads in time for cadets. With that assumption I will be deviating from the usual cancellation policy and will be making the call by noon tomorrow on whether we will have cadets tomorrow night. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,

Capt Bourque
