Wednesday night is a sports night at the Morfee Center, 6:30 – 9:00. Cadets are required to bring athletic attire (including indoor sneakers) and a water bottle. A reminder that cadets are required to participate in physical fitness activities throughout the year to complete their level AND be promoted
 
Cadets and parents are asked to bring in baked goods for the bake sale. All proceed will be aid of the squadron food drive
 
Applications for the Lord Strathcona Medal and the Legion Medal of Excellence will be due January 24th
 
Cadets are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Upper Room Food Bank food drive which concludes on the 13th of December.

Regular Training at the Birchall. Cadets are to arrive at 1815; only flight commanders and above should be arriving before 1815. Cadets are to be in winter dress. Winter dress is C4 (dark blue shirt with tunic) for all cadets.

Cadets are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Upper Room Food Bank food drive which concludes on the 13th of December.

Parent meeting at Birchall from 8:30-9pm. The CO will be available from 8pm if any parents have any other questions.

This is only open to cadets who have completed successfully the in class portion of rifle training and have successfully shot independently before.

Level 3 and 4 Weekend 8am – 4pm at Birchall.  This is mandatory training for all level 3 and 4 cadets.  Dress will be civilian clothing and lunch will be provided at the mess hall.  Any cadets with dietary restrictions must let Lt Roberts know in writing on Wednesday.  For Sunday, cadets are to be dropped off at the Ravenwood ball diamond for 9 am start and can be picked up from the ball diamond at 4pm.  The bottle drive is open to any other level cadets, but they must sign up Wednesday beforehand to ensure the cadet will have lunch.  Dress will be civilian attire.  Lunch will be provided and once again, please let Lt Roberts know if you have any dietary restrictions.

Sunday November 26th

Level 3 and 4 Weekend 9am – 4pm at the Ravenwood ball diamond.  The bottle drive is open to any other level cadets, but they must sign up Wednesday beforehand to ensure the cadet will have lunch.  Dress will be civilian attire.  Lunch will be provided and once again, please let Lt Roberts know if you have any dietary restrictions.

Cadets can chopse to either donate $1 to our food bank and wear apparent civilian attire or to be in winter dress. Winter dress is C4 (dark blue shirt with tunic) for all cadets. We are also curreny accept not perishable food items for our food bank drive.

Remembrance Day parade at the Kingston Legion Branch. Cadets are expected to be formed up at Park Road NLT 10:10 am. All cadets are to be dressed in their C-1 (dress shirt, tie) for the parade. Please take note of the weather; if the weather is bad, cadets are to wear their cadet issued parka. If you do not have a cadet issued parka, then a civilian jacket is acceptable. For all cadets that do not have a uniform, they are to wear a white shirt with black pants. Parents are encouraged to stay. The parade with be done roughly at 11:30 am. Cadets are strongly encouraged to have a good breakfast to prevent passing out on parade.

CO’s parade at the Morphee Gym from 6:30-9pm. Cadets are to arrive at 6:15pm; only flight commanders and above should be arriving before 6:15pm. Parents are more than welcome to come attend the parade at 7pm. Cadets are to be dressed in 1A (dress shirt, tie, tunic).

Glow Bowling at the 14 Bowling Alley from 6:30-9pm. Please dress up in your best Halloween Costume (No Masks), prizes will be awarded. Canteen services available. There is no cost to the cadets for bowling or shoe rentals.

There will also be poppy sales sign up at break.

There will be a Corn Maze activity from 1-3pm for those that are interested at Evan’s Family Farm Market in Wilmot.  Parents will need to provide transportation.  A hotdog and drink will be provided.

Things to Note:

Wednesday October 25th will be glow in the dark bowling at the 14 Wing Bowling Alley from 6:30-9pm.  There is no cost.  There will also be a Halloween costume contest with prizes for the best costume.

For the weekends of October 27-29 and November 3-5 the squadron will be assisting the Kingston Legion with local poppy sales in preparation for Remembrance Day.  Signups for the event will being this week with more details to follow.
