Weekly Events – Aug 29 – Sept

And we’re back with the Sunday evening emails! Here are some more details for the upcoming events.

Tuesday, Aug 30 1800 – 1900 in Birchall 

  • First adult staff meeting of the training year

Wednesday, August 31  1800 – 2000 in Birchall 

  • Cadet Instructors meeting. This is mandatory for all cadets going into level 5 or are already in level 5. We will be discussing the upcoming training year, going over expectations and assigning classes. Come prepared to receive lots of information!

 

Upcoming Activities

Wednesday, September 7 1800 – 2100 at Birchall 

  • Welcome BBQ! This is an event for the whole family and an opportunity to bring a new friend who might be interested in joining cadets.  There will be games and activities run by the senior cadets during the BBQ.  Please wear appropriate sports attire.
  • Returning cadets are asked to bring:
    • Any uniform parts that no longer fit to exchange at supply
    • A parent to verify personal information and attend the parents meeting
    • New health card if it has expired in the last year
    • A friend that might be interested in cadets
  • Potential new cadets are asked to bring:
    • A parent to fill our paperwork if necessary
    • Health card and government ID
    • A positive attitude!
  • We have a Facebook Event for the BBQ! Please feel free to share with those who might be interested and RSVP!

Saturday, September 10th

  • We will need a few cadet volunteers for our Wing Welcome booth.  Details coming soon.

Wednesday, September 14th

  • Warrant Officer Interviews for FSgt’s and above. More information about this will be given at the instructors meeting. If you have any questions, please talk to Lt Roberts or CI Losier as soon as possible.

September 16th-18th (At Birchall)

  • Level 5 leadership weekend.  This is mandatory for all those in level 5 as we will be doing the mandatory classes for your level during this weekend.  Details coming soon.

Sunday, September 18th (Afternoon at 107 Valley Wing)

  • Battle of Britain Parade.  We will need volunteers for a small work party before the parade. The parade is mandatory for all cadets. Level 5 cadets will be marched over from Birchall at the end of their weekend. Details coming soon.

Welcome Back!

We realize some of you are still wrapping your summer up however the 2016/2017 training year is fast approaching and there are already some dates for September you may want to mark down.

  • Tuesday, August 30th (1800-1900 in Birchall) – Adult Staff Meeting
  • Wednesday, August 31st (1800-2000 in Birchall) – Cadet Instructor Meeting and is mandatory for all cadets going into level 5 or who are already in level 5

    • We will be updating everyone’s personal files as well as providing a chance to get into supply to sort out any uniform issues before the year begins.
    • There will also be a parent meeting with Capt Bourque in order for her to touch base before the year really gets on it’s way.
