March 24-25 Marksmanship Zones

April 14 Tri-Service Zone Drill Compeition

Note from the CO:

We have had a few instances lately where we have been unable to reach parents while a  cadet is in our care.  Please make sure that while your cadet is with us, we can reach you within a reasonable amount of time.  Especially if there is a delay in pickup after an activity.  My staff and I are only able to wait for a reasonable amount of time if there’s no contact and if we start having concerns, I have been authorized to contact the police to assist us with reuniting the cadet with their family in the quickest way possible.  Without any contact from a parent, after a certain period of time it is justified to assume that something possibly happened to the parent and we do not have the resources to either wait indefinitely or track down where you are.  The Facebook page is the best way to contact us if there has been an emergency and you can’t reach your son/daughter to let us know what is going on.

Should your son/daughter need to walk off the base, this needs to be the original plan, not just an afterthought by the cadet.  We will also take into consideration the weather conditions and should they not be dressed appropriately then we will not allow them to leave and you will need to pick them up.  At the end of the day, my staff and I are 100% responsible for your children until they are physically in your care again (this means if they walk, we are responsible till they get home) and we want to ensure they make it home safe and sound.

If there are any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,

Capt Bourque
